An extensive extended voyage through the Australian Coast is being halted following the death of an elderly female passenger who was left behind by the vessel on a remote coastal location.

Suzanne Rees had been walking on the remote island with other travelers from the Coral Adventurer, but broke off from the party for a pause. The ship sailed away leaving her and returned later that day after the ship staff became aware the passenger was not present.

A large-scale hunt discovered her person the following day.

Authorities are looking into the tragedy, together with investigators and the official investigator.

The CEO of the cruise operator stated that travelers and staff on the vessel were informed that the continuation of the voyage had been terminated due to the "tragic passing and previous mechanical issues".
